I’ve bought 2 of Ian’s bases before, and what I received were workhorses that not only worked great, but looked fantastic while doing it. I’ve owned bases from American Fenders and EBMM Musicman, all the way to some boutique American handbuilds, and I can safely say that The Rosche customs stand up soundly with them, and at a better price. Both bases bought were already designed and built by Ian, and my only question now is what custom build I’d like to have him create for me.

I cannot express just how incredible my experiece with Ian and Rosche Custom basses has been. From the first steps; a concept of
bringing a beloved, long lost instrument back to life, Through the meticulous build process, and it’s final destination in my hands,
I was consulted, apprised, and flat out stunned at the end result! What I hold in my hands today, fits like a glove and feels like
“home”. None of this would be possible without Ian! Thank you my friend for helping me and my vision a reality !

I was looking for a custom Jazz style bass that could cover a big tonal spectrum and didn’t break the bank! I opted for a 5-string custom J Pro, ash body and EMG MM and DC pickups. This is a monster! Another custom touch is a flat fingerboard, and Ian was happy to accommodate all my subtle requirements. Recommended!

I came across Rosche Bass by pure luck! I’m glad I did as I was able to work with Ian to bring my own idea to life. Communication was fantastic and Ians CAD designs made it easy and quick to get my design nailed.

I have owned some nice fretless basses in the past including a couple of Pedullas and a few J types.

The Zorb is the best of them, for certain. In all aspects. Ergonomics. Fit and finish. Wood. Sound.
